 Dear New Parishioner,

On behalf of the entire St. Denis Parish, I welcome you. You are joining a very historical and vital community of faith. Since 1825, this Catholic community has grown and thrived in Delaware County. More importantly, our community has witnessed to Jesus Christ, our Savior and His Holy Catholic Church.

You will quickly ascertain that we are very proud of our parish and the ministries that we perform in the name of Jesus. We happily welcome you into the life and mission of Christ’s Church here in St. Denis. We encourage you to read and reflect on our Mission Statement, which we are enclosing in the packet.

Our community of faith is motivated and directed by three fundamental goals of our pastoral plan: Evangelization; Christian Stewardship; and Lay Leadership Development.

Evangelization is a way of life. As the Church, we are called to reach out and invite others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. By Christian Stewardship, we understand that God has gifted us with life, talent and treasure. In turn, we as a Parish Community try to show our gratitude to God by returning a portion of our time, talent and treasure on behalf of God’s people. All that happens here at St. Denis Parish is the result of collaboration between all the people, clergy and lay persons alike. This collaborative ministry requires the continual development and education of the entire community. Therefore, we have made a commitment to the on-going development of the leadership potential of all our laity.
