St. Denis
Serves… Mercy
Hospice Casserole Each
month casseroles are collected for the Mercy Hospice, a shelter for
women and children in Philadelphia.
Mercy Hospice is a community grounded in faith and service
where homeless women and children can find opportunities for new
beginnings. Mercy Hospice strives to create an atmosphere of mutual
respect and support in which individuals and families can heal and
grow in their ability to lead fulfilling, self-sufficient lives. Mercy
Hospice relies on our donations of frozen, labeled casseroles,
frozen vegetables and other non-perishables to feed the women and
children who live there, and also the others who come for a hot
lunch, shower and a safe place to rest. Collections
at St. Denis are on the third Wednesday of the month between 7:00
p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Fun Fair Kitchen.
You will be greeted car-side where your donation will be
collected, and offered a pan for the following month.
Our next collection
is this Wednesday, January 16th.
Casserole pans are available in the back of church this
weekend. St.
Denis has made a difference in the care and service we can offer
people in need. Please
consider becoming part of this rewarding ministry.
For further information, please contact Maureen Mac Crory at
610-449-6994. “The
Boy’s Service Club is so fun.
Over the last few months we raised money for the new Ronald
Mc Donald House which we will go to visit.
We also made 3 huge casseroles for a homeless shelter.
I have learned to hold open the door for people in our
community”
