Spotlight on Aid For Friends
St. Denis Parish is very happy to be a part of the Aid for Friends program.
We received the following notes from both a visitor for Aid for Friends
and one our “Friends”:
From a Visitor:
I had the pleasure of being matched with my new “friend” now for about two months. I enjoy my visits immensely, and believe that R.S. really enjoys them as well. My six year old son counts down the days until we get to visit him again, and lights up when we get to his house. It has been such a positive experience for all of us.
I wanted to pass along a Thank You letter my friend gave to me on Friday when I last visited. Please know that this program has made such a difference in his life already. Many thanks for letting me be a part of it.
From a “Friend”:
Dear Aid for Friends,
I want to let you know how much I enjoy and appreciate your delicious dinners. I can not thank you enough. From the spaghetti pizza to the spinach flatbread - my grandmother made those delicious dinners years ago. You have brought me food and good memories. I wish I could thank you all in person.
I pray and speak blessings on your generous ministry. I call you “Angel’s Kitchen.”
God Bless all of you!
Thank you so much to all the cooks, donors and visitors of our Parish! As you can see, your generosity is having a real impact on those involved. Meals to our Aid for Friends freezer are ALWAYS needed and welcome! Can you please share 1-2 of your family's meals with us over the next 2 weeks? Our supply is low - too low to meet the needs of the homebound we must serve this week. If 200 of us contribute 1 meal this week, we will be "food secure" once again. To get involved in this wonderful ministry or for questions, please contact Eileen Brophy at 610-449-6145 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
